Zinokwanda Media and Communications (Pty) Ltd is a 100% Black Female owned Johannesburg based agency, specialising in corporate communications, Film and TV content production, and boutique media events. The company, founded by Khanyi Magubane, who is a renowned South African journalist, Communications specialist, TV producer, Radio Broadcaster and Media entrepreneur, offers dynamic media solutions to corporate clients and the film and TV industry.

Zinokwanda Media and Communications has serviced some of South Africa’s top blue chip companies across the mining, financial, food and beverage, renewable energy and social entrepreneurship sectors. It has also consulted for clients in the political and royal traditional leadership space. The company has also produced TV content for channels like Mnets’ Mzansi Magic.

Meet the Founder

KHANYI MAGUBANE

Khanyi Magubane is a TV and Film Producer, SAfm Radio Presenter, Entrepreneur and Speaker/ MC with 19 years of media experience.
She has cut her teeth across the various media platforms of Radio/TV/Online and Print and has been widely recognised for her work in broadcast media.

She runs a media and communications agency, Zinokwanda Media and Communications.

In 2017 the company ran a successful PR campaign for the inaugural Africa Shared Value Summit held at the Sandton Convention Center which boasted wwwboth local and international speakers.

As part of the deal she brokered media partnerships on radio and print. Under her leadership, Zinokwanda Media and Communications as produced content for TV channels including Mnet’s Mzansi Magic.

She has also produced content extensively for the SABC. She was the Executive Producer of a talk show on SABC 2 entitled Visionaries Lounge. The show profiled self-made South Africans with noteworthy achievements. The season started in October 2015 and aired on SABC 2 at 9:30pm every Tuesdays until April 2016.

She has produced ground breaking documentaries including the critically acclaimed series, “Why Are We So Angry?” which unpacked the social psyche of South Africans. The series’ first aired in 2012 on SABC 1 and has since enjoyed a number of repeats across SABC channels.
